Campus Police Report – December 2018

  • November 1, 2018 – A resident of Campus Housing discovered damage to the entry door of an apartment. The cause of the damage is unknown.
  • November 4, 2018 – Campus Police investigated a complaint of an earlier fight at Campus Housing. The allegation was determined to be unfounded.
  • November 9, 2018 – A resident of Campus Housing reported cash and a debit card were stolen from the residence. The suspect is unknown at this time.
  • November 28, 2018 – Campus Police responded to a call of a subject dumping a large quantity of garbage in a parking lot on the East Peoria Campus. Officers located the subject and determined he had warrants for his arrest in two counties. Additionally, he was in possession of 8.8 grams of cannabis. He was issued Regulation Violation tickets for possession of cannabis and littering. He was then transported to county jail for the arrest warrants.
  • December 3, 2018 – A resident of Campus Housing reported items valued at $1,200.00 stolen from a residence. The items included athletic shoes, jewelry, and headphones. There are no known suspects at this time.
  • December 7, 2018 – Campus Police and EPFD responded to the clubhouse at Campus Housing on a report of a fire alarm. A washing machine had been overloaded which caused the machine to smoke. There were no injuries in the incident.

To enhance the personal safety of everyone on campus, the ICC Police Department now offers a free mobile app, ICC Guardian, that turns your smartphone into a personal safety device. ICC Guardian connects you directly to the ICC Campus Police Department in an emergency situation. It also gives you the ability to submit tips via text to campus police if you see something suspicious. The tips can be made anonymous and you can attach photos to the text if you wish.
