Although we may not acknowledge it verbally we are all aware of it in some form or another, the fact that college is an expensive investment of both time and effort. And for some of us the sacrifices we make to attend are greater than the efforts we show on a daily basis, but these stories are invaluable to recognizing the unique community we are a part of. One of Illinois Central College's most valuable resources to its students are its many free services which include counseling, advisement, and, most importantly to this article by Barb Williams, the food pantry.
ICC brings nine students to Model Illinois Government in Springfield, which happened to include our new Student Body President, Cheryl Harvey, who was deeply inspired by the experience and how she plans to bring her exposure to Springfield politics to Central Illinois.
