Men’s Basketball tips off postseason play Tomorrow

East Peoria, IL – After an (0-2) start to the season, it quickly became just a start for the ICC Men’s Basketball team, who then went (14-1) after that start.
Despite a four-game hiccup in the late-going of the regular season, the Cougars are ready to go for postseason play, playing well as of late, including hanging with conference champion Parkland in Champaign until the middle of the second half.
Perhaps the biggest advantage for the Cougars is that although they don’t get a first-round bye, they do get that Quarterfinal game at home, and by the way, they’re hosting the entire Region 24 Tournament.
In other words, the Cougars are hopeful for a good contingent of their fan base at Lorene Ramsey Gym this week. Here’s a breakdown of the Cougars season so far and what you need to know about the tournament.
Quarterfinal Round: #5 Lincoln Land @ #4 ICC (Wednesday – 7:00 pm), #6 Danville Area @ #3 John Wood (Wednesday – 7:00 pm)
Semifinal Round (both games at ICC’s Ramsey Gym): ICC/LLCC Winner vs. #1 Parkland (Saturday – 1:00 pm), DACC/JWCC Winner vs. #2 Rend Lake (Saturday – 3:00 pm)
Championship (at ICC’s Ramsey Gym): Sunday, March 10th, 2019 – 2:00 pm
