ICC Campus Police Report for January 2019

March 1st, 2019 – Report provided by Thomas Larson of the ICC Campus Police. – ICC Campus Police Department Report – January 2019

  • January 3, 2019 – An ICC police officer patrolling the parking lot of Campus Housing observed hunting supplies including firearms ammunition in two vehicles. The resident owners of the cars were located, and a further investigation revealed possession of alcohol violations. Both subjects were issued Regulation Violation tickets.
  • January 5, 2019 – ICC Police responded to a call of a person feeling ill on the Peoria Campus. The officer tended to the subject until paramedics arrived. The patient was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
  • January 10, 2019 – A lost purse turned in to the East Peoria Campus Lost & Found contained a fake driver’s license. The owner of the purse was located, and the purse returned. The driver’s license was confiscated, and the owner issued a Regulation Violation ticket.
  • January 15, 2019 – A student reported a missing wallet on the East Peoria Campus. The wallet was later turned in to Lost and Found. When returned to the owner, they stated $10.00 cash was missing.
  • January 26, 2019 – A vehicle was driven through the closed front gate of Campus Housing, breaking off the gate arm. ICC Police reviewed surveillance video and identified the vehicle that caused the damage. The vehicle’s driver was located by ICC Police and issued a Regulation Violation ticket for damage to property.

To enhance the personal safety of everyone on campus, the ICC Police Department now offers a free mobile app, ICC Guardian, that turns your smartphone into a personal safety device. ICC Guardian connects you directly to the ICC Campus Police Department in an emergency. It also gives you the ability to submit tips via text to campus police if you see something suspicious. The tips can be made anonymous and you can attach photos to the text if you wish.
