ICC CAMPUS POLICE REPORT FOR THE SEMESTER TO DATE

April 5th, 2019 – ICC East Peoria campus police activity and crime is very low and void of most major incidents. This is in part to a great community on campus, with a well trained and diverse police force that keeps our college students safe.

Here is a summary of incidents for the 2019 spring semester.

January 3, 2019 – An ICC police officer patrolling the parking lot of Campus Housing observed hunting supplies including firearms ammunition in two vehicles. The resident owners of the cars were located, and a further investigation revealed possession of alcohol violations. Both subjects were issued Regulation Violation tickets.

January 10, 2019 – A lost purse turned in to the East Peoria Campus Lost & Found contained a fake driver’s license. The owner of the purse was located, and the purse returned. The driver’s license was confiscated, and the owner issued a Regulation Violation ticket.

On three different ocassions the same type of incident occured.      January 26, 2019 – A vehicle was driven through the closed front gate of Campus Housing, breaking off the gate arm. ICC Police reviewed surveillance video and identified the vehicle that caused the damage. The vehicle’s driver was located by ICC Police and issued a Regulation Violation ticket for damage to property. February 10, 2019 – A vehicle was driven through the closed front gate of Campus Housing, breaking off the gate arm. ICC Police reviewed surveillance video and are attempting to identify the vehicle. February 21, 2019 – A vehicle was driven through the closed front gate of Campus Housing, breaking off the gate arm. ICC Police reviewed surveillance video and are attempting to identify the vehicle.

February 19, 2019 – Several unlocked vehicles parked at Campus Housing were entered during the night and valuables inside were stolen. ICC Police are continuing to investigate.

March 19, 2019 – ICC Police received a report of a subject stealing food from the cafeteria at the East Peoria Campus. The suspect was located and charged with a regulation violation for theft.

March 29, 2019 – ICC Police officers responded to a complaint of an odor of burnt cannabis in an apartment at Campus Housing. The officers detected the odor of burnt cannabis, but could did find any physical evidence. The matter was referred to Campus Housing management.
