Student Life Sponsors Activities Fair in the Courtyard

Wednesday, August 31, 2022, Illinois Central College (ICC) featured 17 student organizations at its annual Student Activities Fair, sponsored by Student Life, to allow students to explore ways to get involved. The event was held in the courtyard of the East Peoria campus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Student Life, sponsoring nearly 30 organizations, hosts several large-scale campus events, such as Welcome Days and New Student Orientation. Student Life also organizes ceremonies such as the Student Leadership Awards and the Student of the Year award. Student organizations help connect students with peers and prepare them for leadership roles that will make them more marketable after their time at ICC.

The organizations are all student-led and supervised by a member of the faculty. Many on-campus organizations meet weekly to discuss activities and give their members a sense of community. In addition to the already established organizations, Student Life always welcomes new startup organizations to meet the growing needs of students.
