Spring Contest: What’s on the Cougar’s Mind?

Anyone who has lived in Central Illinois during the spring and winter know that these seasons can seem indistinguishable from each other, a snow and rain warped blur. In light of the changing seasons, Harbinger Student Media is hosting its very first online contest – open to all ICC students!

ENTRY PERIOD: In order to enter, all you need to do is think of the best possible caption for the blank comic strip below, featuring ICC’s own super hero: The Cougar! Just complete the form below and remember to adhere to all submission guidelines, then check Harbinger Student Media’s website and Facebook page in the coming weeks to vote for the caption that you believe best fits the comic strip. Submissions will be open until Sunday, March 31st, 2019.

VOTING PERIOD: From April 1st to April 7th, students and faculty of ICC will be able to vote on all submitted entries that meet the guidelines. Voting platforms can be found here on our website and Harbinger Student Media’s Facebook page during those times.

THE PRIZES: The most popular entry will be revealed in this semester’s print edition and the lucky winner will receive a jumbo gift basket including gift cards, school supplies, candy, and more!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: All entries must adhere to the following rules/guidelines in order to be considered during the voting period:

  • Captions may not include any profanity and/or inappropriate language.
  • Captions may not include the name(s) of any individuals that could be deemed inappropriate.
  • Maximum of one submission per student.
  • At least one form of contact must be provided in order to notify entrants.
  • Entry must be submitted and received no later than 11:59PM on March 31st, 2019.
