“Soft Spot” by Noah Otten at ICC Art Gallery

Friday, February 22nd, 2019 – East Peoria, IL – This past Monday, a new exhibit opened in the gallery of the Performing Arts Center at the East Peoria Campus. Artist Noah Otten showed off his newest works in Soft Spot, a fabric-based exhibit featuring a collection of quilts which Otten made with fabrics left behind by his late grandmother.

Otten graduated from Bradley University in 2017 with a degree in studio arts. Never having worked with fabric as a medium, Otten admitted that while making these pieces, there wasn’t really a plan. He cites his favorite pieces as Garden Life and Star Sign Sky, two quilts that explore the beauty of nature and space respectively. Soft Spot will be in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center until March 6th, so see it while you can!B
