Putting on a Clinic

ICC’s Peoria Campus is ramping up its healthcare efforts with a free dental hygienic clinic from April 1st-4th (6-8 PM) in Arbor Hall South, Room 110.

This latest initiative comes courtesy of our Dental Hygiene program with the clinic being staffed by students and faculty. “Free screenings are a way for individuals who have not had dental cleanings in the past four years to get back into the practice of getting the best care for their teeth,” explains Cathy Korondi, program coordinator for the clinic and the Dental Hygiene program, “it also benefits our students to be able to gain hands-on experience working with new patients.”

In addition to screenings, their services include dental cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, and oral hygiene instructions. Due to the nature of the clinic, fillings and extractions will not be provided.

For patients that haven’t had their teeth cleaned within the past four years or have a current Medicaid card, services are entirely free! Other patients, as young as five years old, will be charged a flat fee of $20 regardless of care needed. Private insurance and Medicare companies are not billed for these services.

To schedule your appointment or for further inquiries, contact the Dental Hygiene Clinic @ (309) 690-6999 or reach out to Cathy Korondi. Parking is free with handicap accessible parking.
