Illinois Central College‘s (ICC) student organization, Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), hosted a mini-golf fundraiser in the student lounge on the East Peoria Campus on Tuesday, March 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event was hosted by PBL to raise money to send students to conventions, though it was free for all ICC students to attend.

“At the convention, we are able to compete in different events for leadership and business-related events to build our leadership skills,” said  Cassie Keller, a PBL member.

The PBL mini-golf fundraiser is usually an annual event but was put on hold, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first mini-golf fundraiser PBL has been able to host the event since the school closed in the spring of 2020. The golf courses took PBL about five hours total to put together.

PBL is an organization dedicated to students who want to gain business and leadership skills. Its members participate in competitions, attend leadership conferences and even offer scholarship opportunities.
