Peoria Riverfront Hosts 57th Annual Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair

The Fine Art Fair, hosted by the Peoria Art Guild, returns for the 57th year to Downtown Peoria located at Riverfront Festival Park, 200 NE Water St. Running September 27 to 29, the fair hopes to showcase artists not just in the Peoria area, but from all over the country as well. The Peoria Art Guild website, peoriaartguild.org, states that the event will be “showcasing 130 nationally recognized artists who love Peoria.” These artists will be stationed at their respective booths where their art can be viewed and purchased throughout the event. The event runs Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all ticket sales benefiting the Art Guild itself.
Also included in the event will be entertainment all weekend with local music and performances such as the Bradley Jazz ensemble, German American Society of Alphorns, Peoria Ballet, and others taking the CEFCU Stage throughout the weekend. Additionally, food and drink will be available throughout the event.
Guests will have the opportunity to flex their own artistic muscles with a community mural – a mural composed of tiles where each individual paints a small portion of an image, to be placed on the piece over the three days the event takes place.
The event is free admission for members of the Peoria Art Guild, as well as volunteers on the day. Admission is $6 for the general public.
