New Harbinger Student Media News Feature – Quick Hits

Welcome to the Harbinger’s newest series “Quick Hits”! This is where all types of news will pop up so you can know what has happened around ICC and what is to come. In addition to these brief items, make sure to read all of our coverage at our website.

The 2023 Clery campus safety report has been released. The Clery Report is a federally mandated report on campus safety. Here are the statistics for the East Peoria campus, which includes campus housing, as well:

Pres. Sheila Quirk-Bailey has announced that student enrollment numbers are up for the first time since 2011. There has been a 7.6 increase in enrollment. More information about the Board of Trustees to come in a later article

You may remember getting a notification via email about a knife incident a while back. Here is some further information about the incident. The name of the attacker is Keshawn J. Carter, age 25. He was charged with aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon. It was confirmed that there were at least three knives in his possession at the time of the incident.
