ICC Police Department Monthly Report – March 2022

– March 1, 2022: Individuals were questioned about the odor of marijuana coming from their vehicles. A ticket was issued, and individuals were referred to the program coordinators and Dean of Students.  

– March 1, 2022: An individual reported harassment through text messages from an unknown person.  

– March 3, 2022: A fire alarm was activated at Campus Housing for a kitchen fire. No injuries were reported.  

– March 7, 2022: An individual reported harassment through email from an unknown person.  

– March 7, 2022: A theft of items occurred at the Cougarplex. Suspects were identified through video surveillance.  

– March 8, 2022: Incidents of trespassing and vandalism occurred at two vacant apartments in Campus Housing. Open investigation. 

– March 12. 2022: A complaint of loud noise was received through the Rave Guardian texting app. Officers warned a compliant individual about the loud noise, and advised future violations would be ticketed.  

– March 22, 2022: Students at the Peoria Campus had a verbal altercation after class.  Individuals were referred to the Dean of Students and program coordinators.  

– March 23, 2022: An individual complained an unknown driver failed to yield to her in the  College Dr. crosswalk by the Visitor’s Lot on the East Peoria Campus. 

Safety Tip: 

Pedestrians on the East Peoria Campus must be careful when walking across roadways and through parking lots. Be aware of vehicles and assume they may not see you. Drivers and pedestrians must be especially careful at the crosswalks near Visitor’s Lot and Nature Trail Ct.
