Harbinger Student Media Presents In the Archives

On Sept 23, Harbinger Student Media (HSM) released its first-ever history podcast, In The Archives, hosted by Krystal Bridgeman and Grace Ziethammer.

This ongoing series will highlight the history of Illinois Central College (ICC) and its impact on the community and its students. Episodes are planned to be released biweekly, which can be found at ICCHarbinger.com under the podcast tab.

The first episode discusses how the campuses of ICC were conceived and the values faculty wanted to instill into their incoming students, “changing the world through knowledge, relationships, trust, responsibility, and perseverance.”

Bridgeman and Ziethammer also discuss why so many campuses were built and how multiple locations allowed for a larger population of students to pursue an affordable means of education. The growth also allowed ICC to offer over 1,900 classes for its ever-growing number of students.
