October 5th, 2018 – “Slut”, “She asked for it”, “Man, you ain’t have sex, you must be gay”, “Don’t be lame”, “Everyone is doing it”, “Look at that boy dressed like a girl”, “Just one time, that’s all”, “Please don’t tell anyone”, “Look how she’s dressed”, “I wouldn’t be caught talking to him.” These are some of the quotes that improv actors, Tiffany and Anthony of Sex Signals, expressed onstage when they visited ICC’s Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Sept. 26th. Their smart, cathartic, and humorous performance brought light and awareness to sexual assault for college students.

Tiffany and Anthony asked the audience for material to form scenarios for college life situations. As they would perform, the attendees had a chance to raise a “STOP” card to interrupt the performance for an open discussion. Questions were asked on what to do if you are a bystander during harmful acts, or what to do if you are a victim, and how to speak out to expose the perpetrator. The open discussion of compassion, empathy, and responsibility filled the PAC and hopefully rose awareness to all the attendees.
