Here are the upcoming events from April 27 to May 16:

Sunday, April 27:

• Velvet Voices Treble Choir Debut Performance – This will start at 4 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. ICC’s Velvet Voices Treble Choir will be performing in their first solar concert. Admission is free and open to the public.

Monday, April 28:

• U.N.I.T.E. Weekly Club Meeting – This will occur from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Queer students will be able to meet and hang out with other queer students.

Tuesday, April 29:

• D&D Weekly Club Meetings – This will occur from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Room 233B in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Plan epic adventures and play D&D with fellow students.
• CRU Lifegroup Weekly Meetings – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Coffee Lounge in the Technology Center, East Peoria Campus. An interdenominational space for Christian students to connect with each other.

Wednesday, April 30:

• Theatre and Dance Showcase – This will start at 7:30 p.m., in the Lecture Recital Hall, Room 127F, East Peoria campus. A celebration of the creativity and talent of students in the Arts and Behavioral Sciences’s Theatre and Dance programs. Admission is free and open to the public.

Thursday, May 1:

• Illinois Central Review Submission Deadline – This is the last day ICC students can submit their original short fiction, narrative nonfiction/personal essays, poetry, visual art, performance art, and multimedia art. More information and the submission link can be found here.
• LGBTQ+ Talkspace – This will occur from noon to 1 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. A time and space for LGBTQ+ students to receive peer-led support and share experiences.
• Free Yoga Sessions – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the East Peoria campus library. Students can participate in a free yoga session to relieve stress and tension.
• LGBTQ+ Talkspace – This will occur from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. A time and space for LGBTQ+ students to receive peer-led support and share experiences.
• Concert Band Spring Performance – This will start at 7:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center, East Peoria campus. The ICC Concert Band, led by director Anthony Jones, will be performing music in all genres. Admission is free and open to the public.

Friday, May 2:

• Fashion Club Meeting – This will occur from noon to 2 p.m., in Room 131C in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Students can interact with fellow fashion enthusiasts and participate in ICC’s fashion show at the end of this semester.
• D&D Weekly Club Meetings – This will occur from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Room 233B in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Plan epic adventures and play D&D with fellow students.

Sunday, May 4:

• Philharmonic 100 Year Celebration – This will start at 2:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center, East Peoria campus. The Philharmonic Chorale will be performing in honor of the 100 hundredth anniversary of their organization, which began in 1925. Tickets can be purchased here.

Monday, May 5:

• De-Stress Week: Paws and Pause – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Student Lounge, East Peoria campus. Therapy dogs, snacks, and crafts will be offered to students.
• Horticulture Club Plant Sale – This will occur from noon to 4 p.m., in the Horticulture Land Lab, East Peoria campus. The Horticulture Club will be selling plants, such as flowers, vegetables, and greenery.
• U.N.I.T.E. Weekly Club Meeting – This will occur from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Queer students will be able to meet and hang out with other queer students.
• ICC Concert Choir Spring Performance – This will start at 7:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center, East Peoria campus. The ICC Concert Choir, with director Dr. Ron Kiesewetter, will be performing music of all styles. Admission is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, May 6:

• De-Stress Week: Tinker Tuesday – This will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Student Lounge, East Peoria campus. Activities from origami to engineering will be offered to students.
• Illinois State University Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Atrium outside the East Peoria campus bookstore. Illinois State University will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
• Relax in the Stacks – This will occur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the East Peoria campus library. Students will be able to enjoy snacks and therapy dogs to help relieve stress.

• Free Meditation Sessions – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the East Peoria campus library. Students will be able to recharge with a free meditation session.

Thursday, May 8:

• De-Stress Week: Ultimate Study Break – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Student Lounge, East Peoria campus. Food, music, fun, and games will be offered to students.
• LGBTQ+ Talkspace – This will occur from noon to 1 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. A time and space for LGBTQ+ students to receive peer-led support and share experiences.
