Quick Hits 4/13-4/19

Here are the upcoming events from April 13 to April 19:

Sunday, April 13:

Monday, April 14:

  • Olivet Nazarene University Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Atrium outside the East Peoria campus bookstore. Olivet Nazarene University will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
  • Art Club Ceramics and Ice Cream Sale – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Attendees will be able to purchase a bowl from the Art Club and fill it up with free ice cream. Prices range from $7 to $12.
  • U.N.I.T.E. Weekly Club Meeting – This will occur from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Queer students will be able to meet and hang out with other queer students.

Tuesday, April 15:

  • Art Club Ceramics and Ice Cream Sale – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Attendees will be able to purchase a bowl from the Art Club and fill it up with free ice cream. Prices range from $7 to $12.
  • D&D Weekly Club Meetings – This will occur from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Room 233B in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Plan epic adventures and play D&D with fellow students.
  • CRU Lifegroup Weekly Meetings – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Coffee Lounge in the Technology Center, East Peoria Campus. An interdenominational space for Christian students to connect with each other.

Wednesday, April 16:

  • Cosmo’s Cupboard Info Table – This will occur from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Student Lounge, East Peoria campus. Visitors will be able to learn about ICC’s food pantry and meet the pantry’s staff.
  • Aurora University Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Aurora University will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
  • Art Club Ceramics and Ice Cream Sale – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Attendees will be able to purchase a bowl from the Art Club and fill it up with free ice cream. Prices range from $7 to $12.
  • Manufacturing Job Fair – This will occur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the AIT Building, East Peoria campus. Attendees will be able to explore the manufacturing industry and meet with employers. Participating employers will include: AirAce Heating and Cooling, Blunier Builders, Cast Technologies, Getz Fire Equipment, HODGE, Kenco MHE Solutions, Morton Industries, Parsons Company Inc, River Valley Cooperative, Seneca Foods Corp., and Uftring Auto Group.
  • ’90s Music Bingo – This will occur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Student Lounge, East Peoria campus. Attendees will be able to test their knowledge of music from the 1990s to win prizes.
  • Free Meditation Sessions – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the East Peoria campus library. Students will be able to recharge with a free meditation session.

Thursday, April 17:

  • Illinois State University Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Illinois State University will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
  • University of Illinois Springfield Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Student Center, Peoria campus. University of Illinois will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
  • Western Illinois University Springfield Transfer Center Table Visit – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Western Illinois University will have representatives there to answer any questions students may have about transferring there.
  • Art Club Ceramics and Ice Cream Sale – This will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Atrium outside of the East Peoria campus bookstore. Attendees will be able to purchase a bowl from the Art Club and fill it up with free ice cream. Prices range from $7 to $12.
  • LGBTQ+ Talkspace – This will occur from noon to 1 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. A time and space for LGBTQ+ students to receive peer-led support and share experiences.
  • Free Yoga Sessions – This will occur from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the East Peoria campus library. Students can participate in a free yoga session to relieve stress and tension.
  • General Engineering Association Mario Kart Tournament – This will occur from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., in Student Housing, Room 212C, East Peoria campus. Attendees will be able to participate in the tournament with a $5 entry fee, which will be used to fund the GEA. Attendees can register here.
  • LGBTQ+ Talkspace – This will occur from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the International Room, Room 304A, in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. A time and space for LGBTQ+ students to receive peer-led support and share experiences.

Friday, April 18:

  • Fashion Club Meeting – This will occur from noon to 2 p.m., in Room 131C in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Students can interact with fellow fashion enthusiasts and participate in ICC’s fashion show at the end of this semester.
  • D&D Weekly Club Meetings – This will occur from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Room 233B in the Academic Building, East Peoria campus. Plan epic adventures and play D&D with fellow students.
