Recent Events
Last Tuesday U.N.I.T.E. held a recruitment table on the East Peoria campus in the Academic Building. This was to announce U.N.I.T.E.’s (Understanding Individuality Through Education) re-emergence and held a great turnout. When asked about the event, one member stated, “The level of interest exceeded our expectations, and we are so excited for the future of this club!”
Shriyaan Majety was elected to be the ICC F.B.L.A. chapter president last Thursday. F.B.L.A., or Future Business Leaders of America, revealed results on Oct. 6.
Future Events
The Music Program will present a student recital on Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lecture Recital Hall in room 127F on the East Peoria Campus. Come hear students give solo performances in voice and instruments! This event is free and open to the public.
On October 18 and 19 there will be a blood drive hosted in the A.I.T. building and the cafeteria in the Academic Building. More information can be found through this link provided by the ICC website: https://icc.edu/event/red-cross-blood-drive-4/.
Sixty in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities will be visiting ICC at the upcoming Central Illinois College Fair. Students can meet and talk with admission representatives, discover various programs, learn about the admission process, scholarship, and financial aid opportunities, and ask questions. The fair will take place on Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Illinois Central College CougarPlex in East Peoria. The Center for Teaching Learning and Excellence (TLE) invites you to participate in “AI Talks,” a series of engaging sessions in October to examine the latest trends and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, gain insights into practical applications of AI in education, explore how artificial intelligence can enhance teaching and learning methods in higher education, and discuss the latest AI trends and their potential applications within academic settings.Sessions are every Wednesday in October at noon in the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, room 239A. No registration is required.

The ICC Concert Choir members will present an evening filled with their own solos, duets, and other performances at the ICC Peoria Campus Student Center on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Free admission, open to the public.
