Meet the Candidates for ICC’s New President
Meet the Candidates for ICC President, March 28th to 31st
“The Committee presented the Board with its recommendations for these four finalists, and now the Board is tasked with selecting one individual to lead the College. This is a very important step in the presidential search process, and the Board greatly values the input from the community.” – Sue Portscheller
Illinois Central College has narrowed the search for the new ICC President to four finalists. Open forums will take place March 28 – 31 for the public to meet and ask them questions. Candidates will visit the ICC campuses for separate sessions with management, full and part-time faculty, staff, students and community members. ICC Board of Trustees Chair Sue Portscheller, who also served as the head of the Search Committee states:“Each session will feature a separate candidate so participants may focus on their qualifications and experience and ask questions specific to that finalist,”
Public forums will take place from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm in the Tranquility Room at ICC East Peoria Campus, with the schedule being as follows:
- Candidate 1: Monday, March 28
- Candidate 2: Tuesday, March 29
- Candidate 3: Wednesday, March 30
- Candidate 4: Thursday, March 31
The public is encouraged to attend each of the sessions to meet all four finalists and ask questions. Reservations are required, and a light lunch will be served.
According to Portscheller, “The Committee presented the Board with its recommendations for these four finalists, and now the Board is tasked with selecting one individual to lead the College. This is a very important step in the presidential search process, and the Board greatly values the input from the community.”
ICC expects to release the finalist candidate names and biographies the week of March 21. Participants of the forum can RSVP at http://icc.edu/rsvp-for-the-president/
