Meet the Candidates
In recent weeks, campaign signs for the Student Trustee position have appeared around campus. The Student Trustee has an advisory position on the ICC Board of Trustees and represents ICC student interests. ICC has three candidates competing for the position. The Harbinger spoke with each candidate to get a little background information about each one. Students vote in on-campus elections March 5 & 6.
Trevor Mileur
Third-year student at ICC, Peoria native, math lab tutor
Major: Engineering
Previous experience: 2 years as Student Trustee, treasurer of Association of Math, Engineering, and Science Students
Goals as Student Trustee: More access to WIFI and charging stations for students, “college students… need technology”
Robert Zorob
First-year student at ICC, Washington native, member of CAB
Major: Physics
Previous experience: Senator and Vice-President for Student Government Association
Goals as Student Trustee: “represent students”, “present ideas”, and “make ICC a better place overall”
Josh Haywood
First-year student at ICC, Peoria native, Phi Beta Lamda member
Major: International Business
Previous experience: Senator in Student Government Association
Goals as Student Trustee: “convey a sense of community” and provide students opportunities to “get involved and come together as a whole”
