The American Red Cross’s semesterly blood drive at ICC’s East Peoria campus was a success, with the goal of 28 units of blood donations reached.
The first day of the blood drive was last Wednesday at Room 203 of the AIT Building, while the second day took place on Thursday in the Dining Hall of the Academic Building.
The Agribusiness Club helped set up and run the blood drive in the AIT Building.
“We were contacted by Student Life to find an organization that was willing to help,” said Grant Grebner, an advisor for the Agribusiness Club. “They had reached out to us to see if we would do an event over here in the AIT building, and since this is AIT, they thought the AG club was an appropriate group to work it.”
The Agribusiness Club has helped out with the blood drive for the last five years.
Grebner mentioned that this semester there would be two blood drives, with the next one taking place in April.
