ICC Police Monthly Report: September-October 2021
Reported Incidents:
September 4, 2021
- A person who had previously been banned from ICC property for
misconduct was seen on the East Peoria Campus. - ICC police located him and contacted a relative pick to him up. He was ordered not to return or he would face arrest.
September 19, 2021
- A vehicle left in the parking lot of the disc golf course had two
windows broken out. The owner was contacted to remove the car. It is unknown how the damage was sustained.
October 12, 2021
- ICC police received a call regarding a domestic dispute at Campus
Housing. They located one involved person who stated she had gotten into a verbal argument with her ex-boyfriend, a non-student. - He had left before officers arrived. The ex-boyfriend called her phone while officers were still there. He was told not to return to campus without an invitation.
October 14, 2021
- Peoria PD requested ICC assistance in doing a wellness check on a
subject on the East Peoria Campus. - Relatives had not heard from him and were worried. Officers located the subject, who was fine. He stated he would contact his family.
October 18, 2021
- An ICC employee found a damaged exterior door at the AIT building. The glass pane was shattered but still intact. It is unknown how the damage occurred. The Facilities department was notified.
October 19, 2021
- ICC officers encountered a subject on the East Peoria Campus who
was wanted on a felony warrant from Tazewell County. He was arrested and taken to county jail.
October 24, 2021
- A resident of Campus Housing came home to find her apartment door
standing open. ICC officers searched the residence, but found no one inside. There was no sign of forced entry into the apartment.
October 25, 2021
- ICC Police received two calls of a male walking around in the East
Peoria academic building with his genitals exposed. Video surveillance camera footage verified that the man was exposed. Officers searched until they located the suspect. - He was arrested and given a notice to appear in Tazewell County court. He was also referred for college disciplinary action.
Campus Safety Tips:
- Drivers should proceed with caution when approaching a pedestrian crossing and are required to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians crossing the roadway at marked crossings.
- Pedestrians should always use a crosswalk and not enter the street if a vehicle is approaching. Remember to keep your head up (not staring at your phone) and watch for approaching cars.
