ICC Police Monthly Report – November 2021
Reported Incidents:
– November 1, 2021 – A relative of a student living at Campus Housing requested ICC assistance in doing a wellness check on the student at her apartment. Relatives had not heard from her and were worried. Officers located the subject, who was fine. She stated she would contact her family.
– November 2, 2021 – ICC officers responded to a call of a disturbance in a building on the Peoria Campus. It turned out to be a verbal argument between two people. The matter was resolved peacefully.
– November 3, 2021 – An ICC officer on foot patrol with Campus Housing personnel smelled the odor of burning cannabis coming from an apartment. They made contact with the resident and advised that possession of cannabis and paraphernalia was against ICC regulations. The resident voluntarily handed over a bag of cannabis and some paraphernalia and was issued two college regulation violation tickets for possession.
– November 3, 2021 – A student reported several scratches were inflicted on the doors of his car while it was parked on the East Peoria Campus. It is unknown how the damage occurred.
– November 7, 2021 – A “No Parking” sign was removed from its post and stolen from the parking lot of Campus Housing.
– November 11, 2021 – A fire alarm sounded at the ICC Pekin Campus. An ICC officer and the Pekin Fire Department checked the building. There was no sign of smoke or fire. The alarm was reset.
– November 17, 2021 – Custodial personnel reported finding damage to a porcelain bathroom fixture in a locker room in the CougarPlex. It is unknown how the damage occurred.
– November 22, 2021 – A sprinkler alarm in the AIT building sounded late in the evening. ICC officers checked the building without finding anything. The alarm was reset.
