ICC 2nd Semester Sports Wrap-Up

This semester has been filled with competitive athletic competition here at Illinois Central College (ICC). The fans, students, and faculty have been amazing and very supportive of our student athletes. Without them, the success that our Cougars achieved this year would not have been possible. Thank you to our ICC Community!
Looking back on some of the best parts of this athletic semester, the first thing that comes to mind is the year that our Women’s Basketball team had. By the time the season concluded, our Cougars had a total of twenty seven wins and ten losses, one of the best seasons in the past decade.
Our softball team is still going strong with twenty eight wins and eighteen losses. With the Region 24 tournament happening tomorrow at home, the Cougars look to bring home the championship trophy.
The men’s baseball team is standing at a ten win and twenty two loss season, however, don’t let that record fool you because we have some of the best at bat performers in the area. The team has four players who have at least a .319 batting average. All together, the team has one-hundred and ninety five runs. We round the bases consistently.
We wish lots of luck to our cougars the rest of their seasons, and we congratulate our out-of-season cougars for their incredible year! Go Cougars!
