Fun and food present at the ICC Halloween Party
At ICC’s East Peoria student lounge, a Halloween party and costume contest was held. Students dressed up as their favorite characters and were able to admit their costumes via a QR code to the costume contest.
The Pre-Health Club had a bake sale where students could fill up on sweet treats to celebrate the spooky season.
Several students participated in the Halloween trivia, testing their knowledge of scary movies and expertise in the holiday candy.
Cornhole, coloring pictures of famous Halloween characters, and making jack-o-lantern string art were a few activities students could enjoy at this event.
The ICC tradition of celebrating this creepy holiday started out separately as a costume contest and a Halloween carnival. Prompted by other clubs wanting to join in the fun, Student Government decided to combine the two and hold a party with both games and costumes.
“We want to make sure that it’s something that we can offer for everyone and not just the people who are like here in a costume,” Devon Blumenshine, the advisor for Student Government, said.
