Men’s Soccer to play home heavy schedule

The Illinois Central men’s soccer program has 12-of-18 games at home this season.

The Cougars faceoff against Parkland College in their first home conference game on September 20 at 6 p.m.

The Cougars bring back eight players from last years squad, including last years MWAC Men’s Soccer Freshman of the Year and MWAC All-Conference First Team, Luka Andonovski. 

Out of the 21 players on the roster, 13 are freshmen. 

 

Freshmen:

Bojan Bobinac, from Croatia.

Inza Cisse, from Denver, CO.

Gabriel Del Toro, from East Peoria, IL.

Thomas Driscoll, from Peoria, IL.

David Galic, from Bosnia & Hercegovina.

Christian Junna, from Australia.

Luciano Guomao Nunes, from Brazil.

Andre Rocca, from East Peoria, IL.

Tacoma Sadlow, from Trinidad & Tobago.

Jamie Salgado, from Peoria, IL.

Noah Spencer, from Morton, IL.

Gabriel Srpak, from Croatia.

Nikola Vujicic, from Serbia. 

 

Like previous years, the Cougars have a majority of players from overseas on their roster. 13-of-21 players on the roster are from foreign countries. 

The countries represented include: Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, Australia, Brazil, and Trinidad & Tobago.

 

The Cougars first game is August 24 at 4 p.m. against Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.
