Illinois Central Men’s Golf Wins Region 24 Tournament, Onto Nationals Next

The Illinois Central College men’s golf team won the Region 24 tournament on Sunday, May 7th by a total of 4 strokes.

 

The team had a total of 918 after 3 rounds of team play, and eventually won the tournament by four strokes over Parkland.

 

The All-Region team included four Cougars, Seth Rebbe, Jacob Plummer, Jordan Perry, and Chase Picken.
On the final day of play, Jacob Plummer shot a 72, Jordan Perry shot a 75, Chase Picken a 76, and Seth Rebbe a 78.

 

The Cougars travel to Mesa, Arizona from May 23-26 to play in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

 

The tournament includes four days of stroke play and will start on Tuesday, May 23rd.
