From the Editor

It’s a new year and there’s a new editor here at the Harbinger. My name is Rebecca Richardson and it is my pleasure to be a part of the Harbinger staff. I am a full-time student here at ICC focusing on my degree in teaching with an emphasis on writing. I am the 2015 Paul Simon essay winner, an officer in the English Honor Society Sigma Kappa Delta, a member of the honor society Phi Theta Kappa and a writing consultant at the Studio. I ran a local graphic design business for 8 years and bring a wealth of experience, fire and passion into this new position.

I am very excited for the coming year and want to encourage anyone who loves to write to please consider becoming a contributor for the Harbinger. We need talented, motivated individuals who want to use their voices to educate and spread awareness of issues that are relevant to the student body. Interested parties can use our contact us page to receive more information.

I look forward to working with the staff and stringers to make this a wonderful year. Make sure you check our distribution locations around campus to pick up your January issue at the start of the semester. We are working on some really exciting stories for the upcoming year so come back often!

T.S. Elliot said, “We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time”. May the coming year be filled with one of exploration, growth and discovery for all of us.

Wishing you all the best,

B.
