Campus Police Report: May 12, 2014

4:40 p.m. April 14 – Graffiti was discovered in a third floor restroom on the East Peoria Campus. The graffiti was removed.

5:50 p.m. April 15 – A tenant of WoodView Commons reported a theft of cash from an apartment. No forced entry was found. Investigation in progress.

12:40 p.m. April 16 – A strong wind gust caused a car door to strike the side of another parked car in the parking lot of the East Peoria Campus. A report was made for insurance purposes.

11:03 p.m. April 17 – ICC officers responded to a call of a medical emergency on the East Peoria Campus. The patient was transported to the hospital for treatment.

5:50 p.m. April 22 – A citizen using the disc golf course was discovered by ICC officers to be in possession of alcohol. The subject was advised that alcohol is not allowed on ICC property and asked to leave the premises.

8:15 p.m. April 24 – A student reported that another student who had previously caused problems cursed at the complainant in a parking lot on the East Peoria Campus. The offender was located and the matter was referred to the Dean.

2:40 p.m. April 26 – ICC officers and the East Peoria Fire Dept. responded to a call of an apartment fire at WoodView Commons.  Cooking grease on the stove had caught fire, causing damage to the apartment.

3:30 p.m. April 26 – A gray and black mountain bike was reported stolen from an apartment at WoodView Commons. No forced entry was found.

7:00 p.m. April 28 – ICC officers spoke with a victim of domestic violence on North Campus. It was determined that the incident did not happen at ICC. The investigation was turned over to Peoria Police.

7:00 a.m. April 30 – An ICC employee found drug paraphernalia on the grounds of North Campus. The paraphernalia was turned over to campus officers for disposal.

10:55 a.m. May 1 – Miscellaneous food items and kitchen wares were reported stolen from an apartment at WoodView Commons. No forced entry was found. Investigation in progress.

9:45 p.m. May 1 – A subject who had previously been in possession of drugs on ICC property was seen by officers on the East Peoria Campus.  The subject was stopped and advised that he was banned from ICC and escorted from the property.

Safety Tip: 

Tornado season will soon be upon Central Illinois again. Many members of the ICC family know how devastating these storms can be. The ICC Campus Police Department monitors weather conditions and issues alerts of tornado watches and warnings to the campus community.

A Tornado Watch is issued to alert people to the possibility of tornado development in the area . A Tornado Warning is issued when a tornado has been sighted or is indicated on radar.

Please plan ahead to take appropriate cautions in the event watches or warnings are issued.
