Campus Police Report – March 2015

8:00 p.m. February 23 – ICC Police had an abandoned vehicle towed from the parking lot of the East Peoria Campus.

7:45 p.m. February 24 – A student on the East Peoria Campus reported receiving threatening messages from another student. The matter was referred to the Dean of Students.

2:45 p.m. February 26 – A student employee reported receiving harassing phone calls and social media messages from another student. The matter was referred to the Dean of Students.

6:45 a.m. February 27 – A member of the Housekeeping staff reported finding offensive graffiti written on a piece of furniture at the North campus. The graffiti was removed.

12:05 p.m. February 27 – A staff member at the downtown Perley building reported that a non-student was being disruptive. ICC Police responded and removed the subject from the building. The subject was uncooperative and profane. He was advised that he is banned from ICC property.

6:25 p.m. March 6 – ICC Police had an abandoned vehicle towed from the parking lot of the East Peoria Campus.

11:45 a.m. March 16 – A subject who had been expelled from a program at North Campus was escorted from the property by ICC officers.

5:00 p.m. March 16 – A subject left his wallet (containing cash, I.D. and a debit card) and shoes unattended in the CougarPlex gym. When he returned he found the wallet had been stolen.

10:12 p.m. March 16 – A student in a building on the East Peoria Campus after hours without permission was issued an ICC Regulation Violation Notice for non-compliance with authorities.

10:50 a.m. March 17 – A student reported an iPod was stolen from a vehicle in an East Peoria Campus parking lot. The victim could not recall if the car had been locked up, but there was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle.

12:57 p.m. March 17 – A tenant at WoodView Commons apartments reported receiving harassing text messages in an ongoing dispute with another tenant. The matter was referred to the Dean of Students.

5:00 p.m. March 18 – ICC Officers responded to a call of two subjects creating a disturbance in an office on the East Peoria Campus. There was no trouble when officers arrived and the subjects left campus without further incident.

4:50 p.m. March 20 – An item of electronics, with carrying case and power cord, was reported stolen from an office on the East Peoria Campus sometime in the last month.

9:00 a.m. March 22 – A resident of WoodView Commons apartments was issued an ICC Regulation Violation Notice for damage caused to a door and wall at another WoodView apartment.

Safety Tips

 

Motorists on College Drive approaching the crosswalk at Nature Court and all other crosswalks are reminded to slow down and stop for pedestrians crossing the roadway.

Pedestrians are reminded to watch for traffic when crossing the roadway.  Don’t let your smartphone distract you from being safe around traffic.
