Campus Police Report: April 21, 2014

2:15 p.m. March 26 — A vending machine on the East Peoria Campus was broken into and damaged.  An unknown amount of coins were stolen.

7:58 p.m. March 27 — A subject who had been banned from WoodView Commons attempted to enter the property.  He was removed and warned not to return or face arrest.

9:29 p.m. March 28 — The owner of a vehicle parked on the East Peoria Campus found damage to the front passenger side bumper and headlight of the vehicle.  It is unknown how the damage occurred.

12:15 p.m. March 31 — A driver on the North Campus complained about almost being struck by a reckless driver.  Campus Police traced down the offender who stated that he had accidentally lost control of the vehicle.  The officer issued a warning.

10:50 p.m. April 1 — ICC officers responded to a call of a loud group of people at an apartment at WoodView Commons.  The tenants were cooperative when asked to keep the noise level down.

3:30 p.m. April 4 — An unregistered tenant was found to be living at an apartment at WoodView Commons.  The subject was removed from the property and WoodView management was notified for follow up.

10:20 p.m. April 4 — A subject who had been banned from WoodView Commons attempted to enter the property.  He was removed and warned not to return or face arrest.

11:43 a.m. April 5 — A Grounds Department employee reported finding a damaged light fixture on East Peoria Campus.  It is unknown how the damage was sustained.

5:45 p.m. April 5 — A subject who had been banned from WoodView Commons attempted to enter the property to drop off a relative.  The subject was removed from the property and warned not to return or face arrest.

12:50 p.m. April 6 — A tenant of WoodView Commons was found to be in violation of the WoodView alcohol policy.  The matter was referred to WoodView management for follow up.

6:25 a.m. April 7 — An officer located extensive water damage in Poplar Hall at North Campus.  Ceiling tiles and office furnishings sustained damage.

7:00 a.m. April 9 — A severe thunderstorm caused extensive damage to telephone and electronic components on East Peoria campus.

11:25 a.m. April 11 — A person panhandling on East Peoria campus became combative with an officer who approached him.  The suspect was taken into custody by Campus Police and banned from ICC property.

7:12 p.m. April 12 — A person using the East campus disc golf course was found to be in violation of the campus alcohol policy.  The subject was warned and removed from the property.

 

Campus Safety Tip: 

Drivers on College Drive approaching the crosswalk at Nature Court and all other crosswalks are reminded to slow down and stop for pedestrians crossing the roadway. Pedestrians are reminded to watch for traffic when crossing the roadway.  Don’t let your smartphone distract you from being safe around traffic.
